AZ CCW training requirement question.

I read through a couple other AZ CCW threads but couldn't find a definite answer to my question. Does a CA hunter safety course satisfy the training requirements for AZ?

GAME & FISH (E6B, N3)
Original/Copy of certificate/card/document of completion of any hunter education or hunter safety course approved by the Arizona Game & Fish or a similar agency of another state.
**Document from “similar agency of another state” requires supervisor approval.

Yeah in the other threads AZ emailed them back saying it was okay and then in other emails they were saying it wasn't.

I guess it can't hurt to try. It looks like if they reject your application they send your check back with it so you don't lose the $60.

And make sure it is in money order or cashiers check. I know the postal services will refund their money order fairly easy. I unfortunately sent out my app on Veterans day and had to go with a money order from my local supermarket, read the fine print! They require a $15 fee to refund any funds from their money order and it takes 60 days.

I had to return a Postal service money order once and just walked in and was out the door in 5 mins with cash in hand.

Thanks for the advice. I emailed them with my address for an application packet. It should be at my house when I go home for Christmas break. The AZ permit is much easier to get than the NV permit and a lot cheaper.

The only thing I worry about is NV not accepting the AZ permit in the future.

I used my certificate from my California CCW course (didn't get approved at that point for me to include my cali ccw) and a copy of my expiried Utah ccw.

Everything went through fine.

I used my Hunters Safety Certificate from California from when I was 12 years old, sent it in maybe two weeks ago and just got my AZ-CCW in the mail yesterday! Originally I used my training certificate from yolo sportsman/yuba college and they sent it back as it did not say whether or not the instructor or program was NRA approved/certified. They sent me a letter and my information back saying to include something that they consider relevant training...there was a list of perhaps half a dozen acceptable sources and the Hunters Safety Certificate was acceptable for them. Much better looking CCW than other states.

When I calld to ask what they needed, the nice lady told me as long as it has an NRA instructor number on it, you are good to go. Sent them my FS CCW cert.
