Uncle Mike's Reinforced Instructor Belt. It is thick and rigid but very comfortable and with the velcro it is ultimately adjustable to what ever size you want. I have a very nice expensive leather gun belt and I recently switched to the Uncle Mike and love it. Super comfortable. $36 dollars

      Hey,

I carry in an IWB, and have found that an elastic belt works great for me. Since the weight of the gun and holster is not all carried by the belt, the main purpose of the belt (besides the obvious!) is to cinch the gun/holster into my body, and the elastic belt does that very well without any pinching of the flab, er, love handles! I have tried using a leather belt, but that is much more uncomfortable.

I use a Don Hume JIT Slide leather holster ($17) for my PM9 with a Cabela's Roughneck Jean Belt ($19 on it's usual sale). I like it and it's very reasonable. I use the 1.5" belt width and have had no problems with it fitting all of my pants. It's a tad tight fitting on one Jean loop up front where I have to tuck the remaining tongue into it's leather loop and then under my jean loop.

I have a very nice Coronado Leather belt and a nice matching Don Hume belt, but both are a little thicker than my Cabela's belt. I prefer the thinner belt since it supports the weapon just as well as the more expensive belts. But it doesn't look nearly as nice and fancy. I guess that's why it's called a "Jean" belt. But I'm mostly in Jeans so it fits my normal dress.

One thing to consider (which I didn't really see discussed above) is do you want a nylon belt or a leather belt?

I have both, and I daily wear my leather belt since it goes with my attire (DeSantis plain leather holster belt). I can wear it to work with my suits and it doesn't stand out aside from my other dressy leather belts. The only thing is that it's extremely rigid and firm, so it won't sag like my other softer leather belts will. It's especially great when I wear jeans, with or without a IWB.

The other thing to consider is whether you want a 1.5" or 1.75" belt. I personally like the 1.75" belts because they look better on me since I'm a tall person. Plus all of my kydex holsters are cut with 1.75" belt loops, and to me it feels more solid than a 1.5" belt looped holster (that I can at least tell, might be the same for others). But the thing to watch out for is that a 1.75" belt may not fit through the loops of some pants or shorts. I have some shorts like this, but all of my pants will fit the belt. That's the only real drawback of using a 1.75" belt.

I just received my leather Crossbreed belt and I must say, I am VERY pleased. Outstanding construction and quality. I went with the 1.5". Highly recommend.

Bullhide Belts - The Indestructible Belt

This has been very solid. It has retained its form from day one. It hasn't warped or anything. Plus, it comes with a lifetime warranty. Honestly, I don't think I'm going to break this thing unless I cut it with a knife.

Built from BioThane - a high strength man-made material consisting of a super strong internal polyester webbing with a super tough thermoplastic polyurethane leather-like textured coating that makes it durable, waterproof, easy to clean and stronger than natural leather. If you work around water, oil, chemicals, and other harsh environments this belt will not absorb them and will outlast all other belts. It also exhibits inherent resistance to salt water (sweat) stress cracking, hydrolysis and the attack of fungi. BioThane is a proven tested material and is used by NASA and the US government for military and space programs. This belt is also in compliance with FDA skin-sensitivity requirements. It has a 6000 PSI high tensile strength but is still flexible in all temperatures and does not crease but holds it shape.

I've got the Crossbreed Supertuck. Even with a fullsize gun, I've been able to conceal pretty well. The first couple of months I've been paranoid and position placement has really helped. You will learn your best concealment position and comfort setup.
