Did you do your interview yet? There might be some good info on that county around here.

No, as far as I know there is no interview for kern county. I think once you get approved its a matter of taking the required class.

              Congratulations Paul.

There is no interview in Kern County, you hand in your application and they review it. Once they approve the application then you pay the application fee. They conduct the background check, et al and once that is passed they mail you the approval, you then get your training certificate and hand that in and they mail you the license.

Well I just got home from work and checked the mail and I got my approval letter. 22 days isn't too bad. Now I just have to take the class and turn in my paper work.

Best of luck. I am going to wait until I get my AZ, FL, UT and NV ones. I want them to deny me after 76% of the US says I am A OK.

Let me re-phrase that. I want want to see if they will deny me after 76% of the US say I am A OK. I really hope they just say yes and be done with it.

Since it is a COUNTY thing, they can deny for their reasons and not a popular vote of the entire US. You seem to have missed the whole point.

I didn't miss the point, and I understand that the county is in charge. I just want to attach copies of each CCW to the application. Then when I have the interview and get told no, I can ask the Sheriff why is it that I can carry in over 3/4 of the United States, but my one home state wants me defenseless. I know it won't matter. I just want to hear his answer.

                              Is that so wrong?
