    Not Cali CCW related but thought I'd put this up.

    As many know Wisconsin is about to become the 49th state to allow concealed carry (it'll be shall issue) and since it appears they'll be honoring most if not all other state's permits I thought some would find this information interesting. It's not the no-permit carry they hoped for but it's not all that bad considering they started from zero:

      It almost looks like the License doesn't exempt you from the 1000' GFSZ in WI. I'm going to go read more closely.

      ETA: Nope. Found it. Licensee can be in the 1000' zone but not on campus. Because it is a full re-write it took a couple of moments to see in the bill.

      It's a very nice statute. The only issue I can see at all is that their DOJ needs to make a list of other state's permits. From my read, CA's 12050 license should suffice to carry in WI. Alternatively, FL or UT look like they will qualify as well.
