    I drive a race car rig and I am wondering how do u go about getting on in Texas?

      I believe you have to take a class within the boundaries of Texas in order to qualify for a Texas CHP.

        Do you mean you drive thru Texas? If so, then you don't need a CCW permit as a "traveler". You can carry a concealed handgun in your car as long as you are traveling. There used to be unclear language about what is "traveling", but I think they've cleared it up to mean basically whenever you're driving in the 2005 time frame.

          Also, TX has no laws wrt long guns, so you can just carry your AR-15 everywhere. ... I think !

              You are in San Bernardino County. Get your California CCW. Texas honors California CCW. Utah and Florida too.
