    Turners

My first time going to Turners in Palm Desert. Usually I avoid the chain stores but they had a deal on a Kimber I wanted.
So standing in line for DROS with 6 other people it turns out every one of us had a CCW. The long line was because they had one terminal only for DROS
So Cal isnt the desert after all

It's so much nicer buying a gun with a CCW in hand. No safe handling demonstration and no firearm safety certificate to produce among other things.

You're absolutely right. Even the staff look relieved when you whip out a CCW after they ask for your safety card.

Does Turners still charge a service fee for running the DROS?

I believe so. In January I was charged 4 separate DROS fees with various descriptions on top of my purchase price. One of them was a "Turners operations dealer handling fee". I assume that is the one you are referring to.

Yup. Complete Aholes. That fee gets state tax applied.

Not to mention the fact that they don't honor the COE+FFL03 1 in 30 exemption, tried to purchase a 2nd gun the other day and had all of my paperwork in hand and they said "we don't do that here"

So how does that work, carrying in the store? Don't ask, don't tell type thing? I have had a Turners here in San Diego ask me if I had a gun in my fannypack, (I did not), to which I said "too obvious!" Did they ask you if you were carrying? I asked the manager a different time about legal carrying in the store, and he said "don't worry about the sign" which says all guns have to be in locked cases..

Turners Reseda has sign-CCW holder keep gun concealed and the rest in locked container, check in upon entrance.
On my question if they will honor CCW for proceeding, I could see in guy?s eyes he wasn?t asked this question often, but he said Yes as law required.

A store that sells guns that wouldn't allow one to legally carry concealed? Never heard of one aside from gun shows that are under separate laws. Turners will want to see and check in anything else you brought in at the entrance. I have done that with them and they were polite and professional about it. They will call someone to the front to inspect the firearm before you can bring it back to the counter to do what you need to. I am sure they get plenty of idiots that walk in that have left rounds in the chamber or magazine. Just a safety issue.

Just went to Turners in Pittsburg, CA to DROS and then pickup a Henry Big Boy X I bought from them online. Bought online shipped to that store.

Nice guys but completely disorganized. Probably the longest process I?ve ever gone through. I was there for an hour to pickup my gun.

Everyone very nice, but damn so unorganized. I paid $47.02 for the DROS

Don't understand the question Gabe123. The Turners guy asked if I had a gun in my fanny pack(maxpedition). The sign pertains to folks bringing in something, maybe for consignment or ??? Make sense?

and your answer might have been to the Turners employee "what gun?"
