    Legally, there is nothing prohibiting a person from doing it.

    Allowing it to be listed on a person's CA CCW permit is up to the permit holder's issuing agency to decide.
    ^Depending on the issuing agency, it is allowed or it is not allowed.

      My IA (San Joaquin County) wouldn't allow that, because they don't allow modifications to firearms outside of manufacturer specifications, other than sights and grips. Your IA will have its own rules.
