Welcome to the site. Good luck on getting your CCW, let us know if you get it.

Doesn't seem very likely, since Solano is shown as 'no issue to regular citizens'.

But can't hurt to inquire - all they can do is say 'no', and you don't have a CCW now, so no damage would be done with that answer.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Is it possible to apply for a CA CCW being a Tx resident on active duty military?

Yes, it is possible to apply. As an active duty Military member, you are considered a resident for licenses. However, you will not receive any special consideration, and as said already, Solano County is basically no issue.

I do have a CA drivers licenses.
I know they have the 90 day temp, but I was looking for something longer.

        How is Fairfield with CCW?

I have good cause for having a CCW just need some info before I make the jump! And yes I will submit my good cause to the Calguns CCW review members before it's sent.

Any help would be great, thanks ahead of time.

p.s This is my first Calguns post! Great site!!

If you haven't seen it with your own eyes,
or heard it with your own ears,
don't make it up with your small mind,
or spread it with your big mouth.

I attached the City's response to the County Grand Jurys findings on CCW issuance in Solano County. Fairfield and Vacaville do not issue. I have been told that the county may issue, but you must apply and be rejected by the city first. Having Utah and Florida permits, I am not willing to jeopardize non-renewal due to being declined a permit by the city and county. If the attachment does not go thru, PM me and I will email it to you.
