Is there a definitive answer to changes to state laws for 2024?

I am aware of SB2 but frankly have heard various versions of what it practically means for CCW permit holders as of Jn 1 2024. Can someone provide some clear bullet points about the changes?

Or is there already a thread to this effect? Link?

          Basically, we're screwed.
I also wish there was an easy to read summary in non-legal terms. I someone who knows all about it can summarize that would be great.

I think this is basically the way it stands:>

Update 09/06/2024: in Carralero v. Bonta , the Ninth Circuit has upheld the preliminary injunctions against the following carry bans (meaning they remain unenforceable) for certain areas. This is...

My brief take (I am not a lawyer).
Training is going to be double what it is now for both new and renew. Price is going to be much higher as well.
The places you want to carry to, unless they have a posted sign that says you can carry, are out of bounds (so you have to lock your gun according to DOJ procedures in your car and hope someone doesnt steal the gun)
Most places like churches, synagogues, public gatherings (you know the ones that hamas wants to hit) are off limits.
I think you're OK inside your house but they'll probably try to change that.

https://www.californiacarry.org/sb-2.html talks about an injunction. I assume whatever injunction there may have been has passed? Whatever hope we had that the courts would undo this is not happening any time soon?

An injunction on at least carrying in all these newly created sensitive places could possibly be done as soon as 12/20. Hopefully before the end of the year right? SB2 is going to be attacked in pieces in the court system, so get ready for the confusion.

Read the conclusion on the last page.
Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

The U.S. city with the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, Washington, D.C., has the highest murder rate at 24 per 100,000.
The state with the most unrestrictive gun regulations, Vermont, has the lowest murder rate at 0.48 per 100,000.

                    Ok seriously,

So with SB2 officially on hold the new no-carry zones are not a thing.

Are we still going to see the 11% tax on guns and ammo as well as changes to CCW instructor regs? Any other legal changes for permit holders?

I think the certainty is the laws will have to yield to a process that allows everyone a CCW.

That process will be arduous, and once through that process simply complying to the limitations of that CCW will make it impractical to comply legally beyond anything more than walking out your front door for a walk in your neighborhood.

When kids in school protest in support of Hamas and hate for Jews...you know Christians are next (Revelations) and you'll be needing to carry to survive what's coming. Ugly facts, I know.
