Does anyone pocket carry?

Friend of mine carries a Ruger 5 shot revolver in a pocket holster. He's concerned lately about the low capacity and basically being unable to reload. It seems to me a Kahr CM9 or SIG 365 is about the same size, and only a couple ounces heavier.

It (would seem) most all circumstances IMO, a pocket carry would be sufficient. (I believe this)

However: If your the type that just lives, or frequents questionable areas.

Then maybe something bigger, with more rounds, & extra mags, might be something to consider.

I myself, work very hard to stay as clear as possible from the above areas.

Pocket is fine, 5 shots, is fine. Can carry, easypeasy, with out the showing/printing, & no need to dress around the gun.

This is always gonna be a personal choice IMHO.

I am always ready to carry, a bigger gun. Just don't see the need, or want the hassle of that.

pocket carry a S&W 638-3 and 1 speed strip , Uncle Mike IWB holster with the belt clip in the pocket, can be moved to IWB if need be, like for driving , 5 in and 5 on a strip ... that's 10 rds of 38spl, ... that said..

pocket carry is not the best , what if the hand/arm that draws the piece is injured... can you get to it with the other hand ? IWB is best all around...pocket carry is darn convenient thou...

He tried belt carry. Not as comfortable or convenient, he ended up leaving it behind a lot. The pocket gun goes with him always.

than that's the way to go.... it only works when ya got it on ya...better to have 5 shots with then leaving it at home , and a speed strip is good also... I tried the HKS speed loaders... they really stick out

Yes. I pocket carry a Ruger LCP, S&W 442/642, 640 Pro, Seecamp 32. in Desaints Nemisis holsters.

I pocket carry my S&W Mod 36, but also carry OWB and IWB, depends on what I am wearing, and where I am going. I haven't tried it yet with the Sig 365, I only carry it IWB.

I pocket holster carry a S&W 642 when it's inconvenient to carry the XD subcompact 45 acp, IWB.
However, it is a good idea to do a pocket lint cleaning of the snubby revolver, as needed.

A good holster and belt can go a long way.

Has he tried pocket carrying with something larger, I feel with a P365, that may depend on pocket size.

edit: And actually, that's what I was asking in the OP. He wants to look at something like a Kahr CM9 or a SIG 365. At first he looked at .380's, but they aren't much smaller than the two above 9mm's, especially once you put them in a pocket holster. Reading the dimensions on a spec sheet, a 365 seems like it would be as easy to carry as a snubby revolver, but spec sheets don't always tell the whole story. That's why I'm asking.

it will really depend on the pocket. i have a couple pairs of pants with pockets large/deep enough i can pocket carry my g26.
