CA standard CCW form cannot be submitted by mail?

The Santa Clara CCW page says you can submit an application via mail
and I was intending to do so, but...

The form instructions tell you not to put anything in section 7, but section 7 is the only place to put contact information. So how can one meaningfully comply with the instructions and successfully submit via mail?

    Would a covering letter suffice?

I'd put a sticky note on it with name address phone email. Looks like Section 7 is filled out by the investigating officer.

Actually, I thought to put an extra copy of first part of section 7 in there with contact info

I feel like something is missing. Regardless of how the app is submitted, the contact info would have to be listed somewhere. You might have better luck in the IA specific forum. https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/...d.php?t=352799

I think the nonsensical requirements are a deliberate ploy.

I've asked in the Santa Clara forum too - but since the form is State based, figured here made sense.

          Thanks

How an agency receives and handles the apps and app process is very much up to each agency; state law is silent on the details.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
