    application is confusing

    hey all.

so i read the instruction page on the application process. it say to fill out and sign completely section 1-8 including 7 and sign page 3,8, and 11.
but on the application page 2 on the bottom. section 6,7, and 8 must be filled out in a presence of an official licensing agency.
so do we fill it all out?
    thanks in advance

I’ve never applied but it sounds like the first part says what needs to be filled in and the second part says some of it needs to be filled in in the presence of the issuing authority.

This was true on my initial application, my renewals were through online so everything was filled completely.

Follow the instructions on the LASD CCW website which says to fill in ALL of the application and sign it. The website instructions are more up to date and recent. The application itself is an old DOJ application that has the outdated instructions you're referring to about completing in the presence of an official.

The instructions are the first of many tests that you will need to take, endure, and pass.

Look at your IA's web site and follow their instructions precisely when filling out the standard application. The IA's instructions are what's important here. Print the instructions and take them with you during your submittal review.
