Looks like you're in Sacramento.

Sac County Sheriff Dept. does not care about gun modifications, except caliber. You cannot freely convert your P320 to different calibers (and if you had multiple on your permit, each caliber would be listed separately along with the serial from that FCG because that's "the gun" as far as the P320 goes).

So, changing the grip and such is fine, so long as the FCG remains the same (same serial, same caliber as what's listed on your permit).

But, like I said, you can always ask the Sheriff Dept. for clarification if you are still uncertain, or want something in writing as "evidence" to back-up your actions if you do modify the gun. Send them an email, they'll respond within a day or two in my experience.

Their policy is a bit vague on their website regarding modifications.

As always OP, like said above, send an email to the CCw unit so they can clarify (and you can have on paper).
