Moving while waiting for permit

I've been in the process of obtaining my ccw for about 6 months. This lockdown hasn't helped, and now all I'm waiting on is to take my class and pass the tests - but there is nowhere close to take the class currently.

I am a renter, and will be moving (within the same county, just a new house) in about 60 days. I'm unsure if I will have completed the class before then, all things considered.

Will this be a problem? I know the sheriff wants proof of residency, which I will have up until my move, and then it'll be at least 30 days before getting utility bills with my new address. How will this impact my permit application?

OP - Are you going to have a signed lease for your new residence? If so, that would work for proof of residence... Paperwork for Renter's Insurance for the new residence - that would work also.

I'll have both, so that's good news. I was worried moving during the process would be a problem - don't want to look like a transient or anything.

Follow-up - should I notify the sheriff now or wait until after the move? I know once I have the permit, I have 10 days to notify them, just unclear on the rules before then. Thanks!

Call them and ask them. No reason not to and they are the authority.
