The gun you carry must be correctly described on the license.

Better question...will they allow you to put optics on your CCW gun?

The frame is the registered portion of the gun. However, you might run into future difficulties if you are asked to explain why you've cobbeled together your defense weapon.

Iam afraid of asking them because they might put restrictions on everyone. Then all of calguns would be angry and asked: why did you ask!?

The frame is the actual gun so i don't see why not

You're fine; your frame is what matters. Some folks replace complete slides for multi-caliber pistols on their permits. This is with triple serial type firearms, so quite common to do this.

Just qual with your stock G45 to avoid confusing the instructor. If you want to be sure, ask SSD.

You can always send your slide out to be milled or use an aftermarket slide.

            Only the Sac County folks.

I don’t either, but, my opinion won’t make any difference to the Sheriff or a judge. .

If, however, you are in the unenviable position of having to explain to the court why you carried a highly cobbled “Frankengun”, you might have a long day. If you’re “pre-cleared”, the day shortens.

Everyone gets to decide if they will live their lives in fear, but to live in fear of what CalGuns thinks of you is, at best, tragic.

A basic mantra is, “If you don’t ask, they can’t say, ‘yes’.”

            Enjoy the journey.

            Best.

Imagine a jury seeing a Glock 45 with a gen 5 Glock 19 upper with an Aimpoint arco with a flux brace with a surefire x300u

Red dots are the future because they allow you to be target focused. Technology for Red dots on handguns has increased. For example, a Trijicon RMR has a 4 year battery life and can make dents in cement.

                          So what?

We don't know what exactly you asked, but from the snippet provided, that's a response to your in-artfully worded question. As I noted above, the frame is registered. That's where the serial number resides....on the frame (some S&Ws have a second SN on the butt, but that's not on point.)

By indicating you will have a "different" serial number on the parts, you've confused the issue and gotten the correct answer to it. But it doesn't sanction what you have planned.

                            Not sure Why ...

                            Why trick out your gun?

It's a CCW - i.e. keep it as is, you you can CONCEAL carry.

practice drawing, rapid aiming and shooting (the target)
