O.C. CCW Question

Hello. I just received the official letter stating that I could pick up my CCW. It discusses a range of times that I can come in to pick it up.

Then, it goes on to mention things to bring to my "appointment".

Is a formal appointment necessary? Or, can I just come in during the approved times?

Sorry, I shouldnt have answered. I do not know how the New License pick up works.
My most recent experience is with a renewal which there was no appointment needed.

I picked up mine last week. You don't need an appointment. Just show up during the given times. They will get to you, may take 30 minutes as they are busy. The Deputy will then go over your CCW and other stuff you already know. Congrats.

Don't forget to take a check/money order if you have not paid the fee.

You need to show DL and a copy of your certificate of training so they can verify SN's and weapons. You can show up anytime during the business hours in the email that you received.

Take papers and just show up within the times given. Plan for a minimum of 1/2 hour.

You must have an appointment.

The appointment thing is standard wording. The times they gave you are the times that stand for you to go in.


Why not call them though? Would probably save reading the contradicting post
