Hi all,
I wanted to share an experience that I had the other day with the Sacramento County Sheriff's office regarding a question of modification.
I wanted to sell my Rami, last one on the CCW Permit I have, but needed to know if I had to have it on my person (house or locked in the car) before I made the modification of adding 2 new guns to the permit.
I sold a glock, bought the CZ P01 9mm and the RIA GI 45 and qualified on them. Did I have to have the Rami while adding the other... Phew...long explain for what seems like a simple question.
I went into the Hurley office. I was met by a Sgt. He was up on the stair case above me. I noticed him as he asked if he could help me.
I told him that I needed to ask a question... the one above ... and he told me that the folks in the CCW office were closed til after the holidays. So I explained my need and asked him the question. He immediately went into the ccw office and disappeared.
He came back out with the answer.
No you don't have to have one remaining gun on your person if you are modifying by removing the older guns and putting on the newer guns.
Woot. Pretty cool customer service.
