Applying for CCW in San Bernardino County

    Hey cal gunners!

I am just about ready to apply for my CCW. I have one question, I have a utility bill in my name at my house but I noticed it says I need a rental agreement as well. I live at home with my parents and i do not pay rent. How can I go about this? Do I have to have the rental agreement?

I am not sure what I need to do.

    Thanks guys and gals!

Yes, you do need to have a rental agreement or mortgage.

Your parents can draw up a rental agreement.

Even if I do not pay rent? Someone told me that if I do not pay rent and my parents make a rental agreement that I could be DQ. I do not know if this is true or not.

Perhaps your parents could provide a notarized statement that you live with them. Probably best to call SBSD for some guidance.

This is correct. Notarized letter that you live in your parent's home and that you do or do not pay rent is sufficient.

909-387-3750. Rather than take advice on an Internet forum, why not call them up and ask them yourself?

Getting your answers straight from them is always sound advice.

                My New CCW

Received a call from SBSD April 22, 11 days after my range class, that my LTC was ready for pick up.App date was Oct 13,2014, interview Dec 3, call from Det Logan March 10, 2015 for range class April 11, 2015 in Devore. In all, process was smooth, personnel were courteous, SB range instructor was great, a full class, over 40 people, a couple of ladies too, spoke to a few, nice ordinary folks. Apparently Upland PD was positive for residents for LTC, fast too, Redlands , a NO..interesting about different cities on LTC..Range was fun, well organized, had a good class that day, well worth the wait, easy to carry daily now.hardly notice it at all even sitting in the car,.hope more people will apply for their CCW...its Great!! Have read some posts on people having problems etc before..I guess now, with SBSD, it is easier and faster now..personally, I think they did a good job in issuing LTC in SB County...

Congrats. I also completed class on April 11th, but haven't heard back yet from the city of Upland. They are in the process of changing chiefs so I might get screwed over

                    April 11 class

Just read your note, I was sitting up first row right side, third from the wall, ,where were sitting you at? Surprising you didnt get a call, when I picked mine up, they had a whole stack of LTCs, I was in the 3rd group going up to the range that day. Hope you will get yours real soon..
