Hello CG'ers, I heard from a reputable source that the .380 caliber is now authorized on the permit as of September. That is all.

I just got preliminary approval and finished my LiveScan too. We can schedule a CCW class already? I thought we had to wait until Alicia gives the green light.

I go my preliminary approval pending LiveScan on 10/5 and just got my LiveScan done 10/7. I managed to get into a class with Showket Training starting 10/10. Does anyone have experience with Showket? Also, what are the requirements/skills they are looking for specifically (draw from holster? Timed? Multiple rounds grouped?)?
Excited to get this done! Hopefully the next part won't take forever since it seems to be moving forward now.

Keep in mind Sonoma excludes certain calibers (10mm, 22 mag) from the license. Was a bummer to learn that after an accepted application.

Just emailed Alicia and she said I was approved by the Lt. and now we are waiting for approval from the Captain. What are my chances of Captain approving if Lt. already approved?

Got my appointment for this Wednesday. Alicia actually had an appointment open for me last Thursday when the email went out but I couldn't take it so Wednesday morning it is!
Now if I could just get a date for the class from MendoCCW... been a waiting list for the last month or so...

Just a heads up. Got an email today for my live scan.
They will be doing them on Wed and Thur only. S o keep an eye out for the email.


Fortunately I won’t need the scan anymore as I’ve left Ca. And now in a pro gun state.
