Anybody renew in 2025 post SB2?

Wondering what’s changed aside from the now 8 hour course instead of 4.

      References needed? Anything else?

Need to renew by end of July, thanks.

Just renewed today. Other than the training requirement, I did not notice any other changes. No references required. I think references are only needed for new applications.

As usual, the Placer County Sheriff's office is amazing. I filed my renewal earlier today, and about 2 hours later got a text notification saying my CCW renewal has been approved and I should receive it in the mail in a few days.

Has anyone renewed recently and had their instructor take photos of their guns for Placer County? Claiming its sent to the sheriffs office to make sure you're weapon isnt modified and that it was required as of 1/1/2025.

I've had a ccw for over 20-years in Placer and it expires on the 10th of May. Seriously thinking of not renewing with all these bs laws. I guess it's better to be judged by 12 then carried by 6. Sitting in a classroom for 8-hours and getting lectured on mental bs is too much.
If you?re early, you?re on time. If you?re on time, you?re late. If you?re late, don?t even bother to show.

Where did you take the class and who was the instructor? I haven't heard anything about this.
