Why is that? I never heard that one. Despite what the instructor said, I will probably not carry a chambered round, not comfortable. Yeah I know know seconds matter but I will practice racking a slide more. My instructor was super tactical so not chambering to him was blasphemy.

Every time you loaded round to chamber-it setting back. After 3 times it will be so in and will create dangerous level of pressure when fire.

Never heard that before. Not saying its not true and good practice but good crimp on factory ammo should prevent that. ill do some experiments. I don't chamber rounds out of habit anyway. If its chambered, we going shooting!

congrats ! It's a long slow process but worth it in the end. I tell everyone to go ahead and start the process even if your place in line seems long.If you wait the process will be that much longer. It took about 1 year for me but that was before permitium and pre Bruen decision.

Pick up today. 1 year and 8 months. I would recommend not waiting for approval to do training. I went as soon as I had my appointment. I was able to hand in my training to the detective during the interview and I believe this sped up the process. Your file immediately stars moving up the approval process. the training done 6 months prior to interview will not be accepted. The risk is if you never get approved, you wasted the training, but then again, is the training ever wasteful??

LAPD CCW renewal has two different answers regarding how soon you can apply for renewal. On the LAPD website it says 60 days prior to expiration but on CCW terms of use it says 90 days. It's my understanding it's 90 days but want to be clear.

90 days. Theyre backlogged. Dont wait until 60 days as you may not get teh renewal before the original one expires...

That's what I figured and even though I don't have to renew for quite some time I want to be sure thanks.

60 days is something new, initially was 90. I will try at 90. In 4 weeks
i am sure 60 is typo. They have a lot of typo errors there

I just happened to see the 60 days on LAPD website today not sure how long it's been there. I think you are right most likely a typo.
