The current standard focuses on you separating yourself from the "average citizen" and proving your risk is higher. General terrorism risk does not get you there. You would need an argument showing why YOUR terrorism risk is greater than average, and it probably needs to be a risk that carrying a gun would solve such an active mass shooter as opposed to a bomb explosion.

Has anyone used terrorism as a good cause? Thanks

I contacted just about everybody on the list in SD. I will just say that the B.S. is strong with some of them. On the other hand, I found the instructor at DGM to be clear, straightforward, and not all wound up in his own ego. I highly recommend the training there.

Can anyone tell me if that’s business days or calendar days?
Also is everyone still receiving actual approval letters in the mail or emails? (Someone mentioned that they were informed they would be emailing approvals and declining with letters)
    Thanks

I concur. These are the first two I have heard of that did not go within a few days of the 90 day limit. Kudos to SDSO licensing division for improving actual service rather than providing just lip service as most government bureaucracies do.

Let's hope this flows through to increased total throughput and shorter wait times for that initial appointment.
