Regarding #3, Do we have any idea at what age "elderly" becomes sufficient in the absence of a more specific diagnosis?

#1 by itself isn't good enough for Gore. I, and a friend, used #3. If you want, I will PM my GC to you. The hardest part is the supporting docs, which I can also provide. I did need a letter from my Doc stating he wanted me outside exercising due to my condition. I also sent my cardiologist's post-op exercising instructions. My friend used camping and his medical condition. Take pictures of where you camp, walk or provide crime stats.

That's the "dark side" of Dark Green. The "light side" are for counties that ask you when do you feel vulnerable/at risk during your normal routine, what do you think could happen, how would you react if attacked, how would a CCW help you -- that sort of thing. If you give reasonable replies (at risk at ATMs or gas stations at night), and talk through reasonable responses, they're satisfied. Dark Green means that pretty much any law-abiding resident can get a CCW with minimal effort and the IA is usually encouraging and helpful w/the app process vs discouraging and unhelpful.

Yes I was! I got my CCW back in February.

Often the interviewing LEO asks you for scenarios of threats/attacks that might happen in your daily life and ask how you'd respond.

The extension to 90 day was also not just for them, but class sizes impacted by Covid too. Though it seems not to hard to get a class right now.

It would sure be nice if the SDCSD folks updated their web site with such information which would give us a place to point to at least...

I want to add a couple firearms to my CCW. I e-mailed them to find out how long the certification is good for - Jessica said 90 days.

I’m all submitted now about 7.5 weeks before expiration. We’ll see if that was enough to avoid a gap.

Cool thanks. My GC justifications for renewal are unchanged from initial.
Just some minor edits to apply towards a renewal rather than an initial.
