Shoot them an email asking the status. I got my renewal in the mail 3 days before expiration.

How close to expiration are they mailing out renewals? I’m about ten days away from being naked otherwise.

"You do not need to bring any documents with you to this appointment unless our staff has contacted you and told you otherwise."
If it's in the system then they have a copy already, just bring your ID.
They actually have print out of your application when you check in.

I had another that was not registered to me when I first applied. They had screwed up the SN when I bought it same time as the one above. I had to go on CFARS for that one. They said "it happens" and were good as long as I registered it again with correct SN.

Yeah, I should probably share that one of the serial numbers on my application was incorrect - my fault - and the SDSO basically emailed to let me know, and told me they'd simply omit that particular gun, if they couldn't establish me as the owner in the system. I verified the correct number, sent them the full number in an "oops, very sorry, my fault" email (i accidentally omitted one digit in the code since on the older gun it's from - they're physically separated) and they were able to verify and keep it on the application.

Very reasonable, IMO, and very prompt/courteous emails from the licensing division.

Yeah, thanks! For a guy who had his application in the original Peruta pile, this feels like it's a long time coming.

And while the process, compared to my Arizona CCW, is still laughable - I 100% appreciate how much work, stress and effort the patriots in this state have put in, to make it possible for me to go through this process.

Thank you. I went and Googled some more after I posted and found that most of the information was requirement of people moving into California from another state.

I have updated my personal information in CFARS but not my two pistols.
