Should probably audit how much beer is consumed by the staff off the books while they are at it.

The entire USI Board and management team should resign immediately or be fired if that's even possible. Action should have been taken several months ago to mitigate these losses. Anyone who buys this $200 USI card runs a high risk of it becoming worthless if USI goes bankrupt in the next few months. I'm not going to throw good money after bad (just renewed my DRGC club membership last month) and then shell out $200 to USI. This is rewarding failure. I totally agree with the concept of one club. I remember the fiasco of the range rebuild and it truly was a fiasco. However, I think it's a stretch to think the five clubs would ever agree to dissolve and form one club. The egos are too big and animosity too great for them to come together and solve this problem. If they actually implement this $200 USI card and jack up non-member fees to $25, the number of shooters will drop immediately and the monthly losses will increase. The USI Board and management team will then scratch their heads and say "how is this possible", we have to raise fees again". IMHO the first step is to replace the USI Board and management team. Cut expenses. What expenses? I don't know because I haven't seen the books. Looks like nobody else has either. But if you're bleeding $1,000 a day for over a year, you have to cut expenses to be more in line with your revenue. If Livermore is still $20 for non-members you'll see a lot of people who used to shoot at USI now shooting at Livermore. Trust me, people who live in Antioch, Brentwood and Oakley will drive down Vasco Rd to shoot at Livermore to save the $5 range fee. I'll probably be one of them. RIP USI

        Obewankanobe,

You are right. The focus at this late date is what to do now. If management doesn't wake up and make big changes it is over. I made my home range Livermore quite some time ago. It was management's attitude toward the members that made me switch. Shooting at USI stopped being fun after the renovations were made. It is run like boot camp. Take a look at the Yelp reviews. There are consistent things that come up. Reading them reminded me of why I left. The range officers are not to blame. They are great guys but the place just has a different vibe. I shoot to relax, hang out with friends, BS about politics, chat it up with the range officers. It just isn't possible at the USI I left. It might be different now but I am happy at Livermore.

I wish the best for USI and really hope they can turn it around. We can't lose another range.

Wow I just read through those yelp reviews. It’s amazing (not really I’ve seen her in action) that almost all the negative reviews reflect upon a single person and yet she is still there ruining people’s day at the range. Just think now you’ll have the opportunity to get treated badly for even more $$.

Eric Jewel was a volunteer who ran the 5 stand at Usi. Large following of sporting clay guys did lots of shooting on weekends. (20 tokens + per day) . Nice guy did all the work, handled the whole thing. Upi president canned him so his crew moved to the wobbles field and made major improvements. Usi president again starts trouble with Eric and bans him from property.
None of those 10 trap shooters have come back.
High volume shooters are driven away by poor management.

Shotgunners need to get a life. In Richmond, we keep them under control. Everywhere else, there are generally a pain in the neck.
Gotta preserve their $1 beer. The shotgunners run the show at USI, and have run the club into the ground. I'm out.

I would be okay with $100 a year for a couple.

How about we raise it equitably???

$7 for shotgun to shoot is ridiculous. When you take into account the RO that has to pull, the clays, the electricity, the staff in the clubhouse, etc. You LOSE money everyday...might as well flush it down the toilet. Raise prices in the clubhouse too. $1 beer? WTF. Make it $4 or 5.

We can't have Pistol/Rifle carry all the weight...

Across the board make EVERY member pay $15. And non members $25.

All club memberships $75 renewal. $100 for new memberships...

If you do a $200 Pistol/Rifle card - make it VIP. No waiting in line, you go right to the front...

EVERYONE chip in...not just pistol rifle... (cough cough Shotgunners....)
