Before selecting your location, you might want to consider whether you will use the barrel band or not.
Some 10/22s shoot better with the band, some without.
You probably want to try it both ways first before deciding on a set-up.

i put it behind the barrel band on mine there is a little piece you can put on the screw between the barrel band clamp but if your stock is loose it wont clamp rightComment
