So, a legal permanent resident who is not a US citizen is out of luck?

Apparently so. Many clubs don’t want to have to continually monitor the ongoing status of non-U.S. citizens meeting certain criteria, such as holding a valid green card, an immigrant visa, or certain non-immigrant visas with a valid hunting license, in order to legally possess firearms and visit shooting ranges under federal law (18 U.S.C. § 922).

By that logic, naturalized citizens should be denied too, in case their acquired citezenship is revoked. Which is about as uncommon as revoking permanent resendence status (except if residence is abandoned - but then the person is stuck outside US).

Visa siuation is indeed fluid; it's also tricky to procure a fiream in this temporary status. Different case altogether.

Nice freedom loving state have you got. The lefty overlords sure have help.
