I'd like to thank Gary and the gang for organizing the 1000 yard meet this weekend at Pendleton. We are extremally lucky to have such an excellent combination range and wind tunnel, and volunteers to make things run so smoothly!!
On the subject of wind...how is it that some people can understand the 8 different and ambiguos signs the flags are showing and still shoot a terrific almost perfect score? There were some 3' and 4' corrections from shot to shot in some cases, and I watched the winner and runner up consistantly place shots in the x and ten ring while others, like myself, struggled to keep it in the black.
There is a lot of knowledge and experiance on the line in any Santa Margarita Gun club event, it would be nice to somehow bottle it up and serve it us us newbies to the sport!!
What a kick in the pants!! What a great range.
