    Midrange match report 6/25/22

A short notice for the event still brought out about a dozen shooters, mix of F class and sling. Three strings of fire at 500 yards prone. Conditions were good with steady winds. Initially 4-6 mph but increased thru the day till 8-12 mph (about 4-1/2 moa windage) sun was pretty hot though which made things a little tough. Third string I had put more sunscreen and I really started sweating. My face was all slick and couldn't get a decent cheek weld in my rifle. Groups opened up a bit. Still good to get out with the club and shoot.

Looking at an XTC match fourth weekend in July. Check on Practiscore.

Do they have people in the pits pulling targets?

Nope, all electronic targets (solo/silver mountain). No pit duty or rotation. Instant feedback on scoring. We were done in a few hours including set up and teardown.

I enjoy pulling targets, for a while. Then it get's to be work! No tunnels at this range (214). I've only seen tunnels at Edson Range.

We've got an 80 shot XTC scheduled for this Sunday (7/24).
