    July 5th 300yd Midrange report

Last weekend's event at MCCS Range 216 to try out the E-target system. Aside from one target failure, it went pretty smoothly. A good mix of F-class and service rifle shooters. It was warm, but not too hot. Winds were light and steady, increasing as the day went by to about 12mph. Over-all, a good day to get out and at least hit the range.

I was shooting my M14 and hadn't shot irons in quite a while. My first string of fire I was able to hold shots within 2MOA but by the last string my eyes were getting tired and I was shooting at least 3MOA (or more). Time to get back on dry-fire practice. I do think it's time to increase the diopter of the Bob Jones insert that I have in the rear sight hood to help with the front sight focus.

I miss smgc. The best ranges and the best shooters. Tough to beat that.

I don’t miss longrifle and their BS.
I love America for the rights and freedoms we used to have.
