    New Trigger

For those of you that tried my rifle, I was experiencing an unusually heavy trigger pull (6-8 pounds) and it was throwing off my accuracy...Well I picked up a Timey Trigger (couldn't afford the Jewel) and Randall just installed it...WOW...What a difference....We left it a 3 pounds so I could get used to it, but it is like night and day!!!! I remember at the last Cuyama shoot, Ben was trying to shoot my rifle and he said that he wasn't strong enough to pull the trigger.....Well, its different now.....Look out everybody.....

And an extra special thanks to Randall for doing the job lickety split...

I remember the first few AR triggers i've gotten to work with that were better than stock and man they sure made a difference. The first one was a RRA 2 stage NM and it was a giant leap over stock. Then I've gotten to try timney, jewel, KAC (Didn't think it was worth the money over RRA) ARgold from ATC, bill springfield tuned single stage, Geissele SSA, and can't remember shooting a jewel but it may be in there.

My favorite is hands down the AR gold due to design and the best trigger bull i've ever felt on an AR. I run a hand tuned single stage mil spec with 4lb JP springs and a Geissele SSA and they've been great. I really like the pull but the next trigger i'm going for is definitely an ARgold trigger.

Hope you get a chance to shoot it and I think you probably did yourself a favor by getting a timney over the jewell trigger anyway. Cheers!

This is on a bolt gun.

Precision Rifles are generally bolt actions so anytime you see stuff in this subforum about stocks, barrels, actions, triggers etc, it's usually referring to bolt actions.

Ah, but that's why we have this whole subforum dedicated to precision rifles, to get away from the masses of AR shooters...

I only have like 6 complete ones right now.

                    17.5" 3gun RAW Bushmaster
                    16" 9mm RAW Olympic
                    20" A1 clone OLL DPMS
                    14.5" M4 OLL LMT
                    24" 6.5 Grendel OLL CMMG
                    20" 308 AR-10 OLL Eagle Arms

                    Unfinished:
                    24" 260 OLL POF
8" pistol made from an 80% receiver
2 un-used calguns lowers that are supposed to be used for matching 6.5 and 6.8 builds which makes the cmmg lower un-used again...
1 Cav Arms lower that needs an upper and fire control group.

                    I have too many lowers...

                        I think I have a plan...

Move the 6.5 grendel upper to the calguns 6.5 lower.
Turn the CMMG lower into a dedicated test fire lower for my Quick Change Barrel test fire upper.
Put a fire control group into the 260 build and start dominating at Vegas.
Get one of the Colt A1 kits that are floating around right now and build up the Cavarms lower into a sub 5lb gun.
Take the DPMS A1 clone and give it to my brother for his birthday.
Find the missing 17" 6.8 upper that I sent to Arfcom staff a couple years ago for their big 6.8 upper shoot out and finish the calguns 6.8 build.

No amount of OLL guns beats one registered AW.

Whew.. thank goodness!! I heard they built a few 260s at some point. I'll never own another piston upper again. My DIs just work so well already.
