IF we have a shoot this weekend, it will be mostly inside 400yds.
    It will be non-typical positions.
    Not much prone.

Please read through the first post.
You will find the meeting location there.
If we shoot at our normal spot, it's an hour north.

I'm in Pasadena, Just moved here, sounds like a great way to meet a bunch of fellow shooters in the area. I'd be interested in carpooling. I have a car so if we were to take my car we'd need to catch a ride with others to the range from the staging point.

If I do bring something to shoot it'll be the AR as I'm all out of loaded ammo for the .308 and reloading equipment is in storage, otherwise I'll just come to do the meet and greet.

Whats a good amount of ammo to bring?

I figured that was gonna be the call.

I started to head out that way this morning and was just like "F This, there is no way".

Come on, its not like its Fort Drum where the range is. I've been on the ranges up in Drum during January to shoot and do call for fire drills, nothing like -30 degree weather with blowing snow and trying to qualify with the M16 when the 250 yard targets are ghosts in the snow and the 300 yard targets are completely obscured.

Ok, I did the same at Fort Jackson in the middle of a hurricane in 1985 This range is above 4K feet and its very rural up there, possible flash flooding and it would be difficult getting around and there is no cover and gosh forbid, we might get wet.....Atleast Angeles is covered....Ok, I can live without shooting for a while....even though my rifle is crying to be shot and I have about 90 rounds waiting to be fired.....

I did my basic training in the south. The only time there was a problem is when the humidity was so high that our powder wouldn't burn and the flints were useless.

I did my Navy boot camp the same way. The rain would get so bad that we couldn't get up in the rigging. At least being in main propulsion the benches for us rowers were below decks.
