    Visited CA, Got Some Questions!

Stayed with some friends in Hollywood, and happened to like much of what Southern California had to offer .

Except for the gun law situation, that is.

Glad to see some headway is being made politically against the insane regulations ( no CCW in LA?) .

I wish I could say my posting was motivated by purely 2A reasons haha, but im graduating college soon and its looking like my career plans are going towards LA job wise. Given that I own a modified car and an AR15 , would I have to sell both in a move to Southern California? As you might know from my screename, I have a Beretta 92FS -would it be legal to carry it openly or locked with a magazine in the same case?

Thanks for having me, and I look forward to contributing here at Calguns.

          First, welcome!!!

Depends on the mods on the car. You may get let off lightly bringing it from out of state ...check www.dmv.ca.gov
No open carry. Locked in a case, loaded mag with it is ok, just not in the gun.

Welcome .. if you look at the top you will see the "flowchart" links..

There are also some FAQ at the top of certain forums I think.. No importation of magazines greater then 10 rounds.. or disassembled magazines capable of creating greater then ten round magazines..

                    Bullet buttons on ARs..

CA gun laws are pretty crap.

Welcome. And as someone has mentioned, there is no open carry in California.

Welcome. Without permit you can not legally open carry & conceal carry firearm.

Problem with modified car (depend on the modification) is smog check. You don't pass smog check, you can't renew DMV registration.
