New to the group!

Hi all,

I'm new to the group and new to shooting... wanted to check in and say hi. For my first gun, I bought a ruger gp100. Guy at gunshop said it would be great for home protection. For my next gun, I want to get a semi auto .22 for target practice. Maybe a 1911? But I'm not very mechanical. I did join a shooting range in Burbank where I can rent a bunch of firearms. Finally, I need a great gunsmith in the Pasadena area to modify my GP100. (Grip too big, laser sight, neon sights, new spring) so I'll be looking for that.

Anyway, thanks for being here and reading my post.
