From Fresno for now, but will be relocating in Sac in mid July. Anyone know of any AR friendly shops in Sac btw?

How recent is "Motown" been used to refer to Modesto?
I've never heard that before and lived there for years.
Not being smart, but how old are you? Just curious from a former Modestoian with 2 generations there before me...

                  Welcome from San Joaquin county
+1 used to cruise McHenry in the 70's and listened to the Motown label on the 8-Track aah good times. Never heard Modesto called Motown, Always thought of Motown as Detroit, Michigan.

It's kinda a joke of Modesto... we've been calling it 'motown' for a while now.

came here in 1988 (ATW-Merced) and often heard Modesto reffered to as MOTOWN on base at Castle AFB

                      and I'm old :-)

Been in the area for almost 20 years, and heard it called Motown a few times.

Oh, and if any of you from Modesto/Turlock see a guy (one that doesn't look like a cop) carrying a Sig on his hip, that's probably me. I'm friendly - feel free say hello.

It's been more than 50 years since the US Supreme Court declared it unconstitutional to require a test and a tax for people to exercise their right to vote. Why is my right to carry a gun any different? I don't want a permission slip from a bureaucrat; I don't want to pay a tax or take a test. "Shall issue" is NOT good enough.

I'm originally from Fresno, but I currently live near Sacramento.

I'm not from the Valley, hell I'm not from California -- but I married a gal from Turlock and we spend a fair amount of time there. Nice part of the world.
