    newb question

I was wondering if there is any way to disable the hovering preview that one gets when the mouse cursor hovers over a thread link; it drives me absolutely crazy because I just want to scroll the window when looking at thread titles and instead I get a bunch of popups and jerky scroll response. I checked the User CP and didn't see anything that looked right...can anyone help? If it isn't in the forum, is there a Chrome add on or extension that can kill this behavior?

    Thanks!

the pop ups must be coming from your computer, not from the forum. run a search on the internet for ways to rid yourself of pop ups. there are many suggestions on how to avoid/eliminate pop ups. good luck.

I don't think it's a "pop up" problem so much as it is a forum setting. What I'm talking about is what I've screen capped below, with the red border around:

When I hover over a post's link, I get the preview I put the red border around.

if my computer mouse directs my arrow over a printed title, there will be a preview of sorts of what the thread will be about, in the thread starter's own words; the first words of the thread. if that's a problem, then i have the problem and simply never considered it to be a problem. i've always used this as a way to read a thread starter's first words without having to actually jump onto the thread.

You will learn to ignore it, but sometimes it gives you enough info to open the thread or move on, welcome

this feature offers me a preview to any thread i might want to consider jumping into, and i've always perceived that in a positive light.
