Hi. I just picked up a 9mm and would like to learn more about the sport. I have read and watched videos to learn gun handling but I hope you guys can help when it comes to actually handling a gun. So far I am enjoying the tons of information I get from calguns. Planning to attend a handgun safety course but I dont know which one. Im from Orange County. More power CALGUNS!!

Search within your area and see if there are any gun ranges that have safety classes.... take one. They don't only teach safety but also stance, grip, finger placement... just call them and ask.

Agreed. Call your local gun range(s) and Gun Shops, you'll at least get pointed in the right direction. Also, if you love your gun and are a member of the NRA, there are NRA certified teachers all over the place. I'm sure there is a locator on the NRA website, or one of these NRA nuts here will be able to give more specific direction on how to attend a class.
