There are two different organizations that you can donate to. One is the Calguns Foundation (CGF), which fights legal battles to support the second amendment. The other is Calguns Network (CGN), donations to which are used to keep this website up and running. Given the description of the problem that you've presented, I'd venture a guess that you are donating to CGF. If you were to donate to CGN, then you will get access to the CL, as described on this page:

Note: CGN subscriptions can be made for 6 months, 12 months, or lifetime. But, you mentioned monthly, so perhaps you're donating to CGF?
