Hey guys! I already posted a couple of threads about a week ago and forgot to do introduce myself hehe...

I'm Navy and in Stationed at NAS Lemoore. I've been trying to do reseach on the gun laws here in Cali and alot of people and site recommended calguns.net, so here I am haha.

Right now I'm trying to see if it would be cheaper buying a full AR-15 or buying invidual parts and assembling one. I've heard some friend from out of state saying that it would be cheaper to buy the parts individually, but the guys around my area say that it would be cheaper to just buy one fully assembled. Is it because Cali requires all parts to go through an FFL or is it like that for every other state?

Also, I'll be purchasing after the whole gun scare dies down of course. Cuz they are gouging like crazy right now

Welcome to Calguns and thank you for serving. You will need to look at your options as you go along. Many folks paid ridiculous amounts of money for stripped lowers and still haven't been able to buy lower parts kits, stocks or uppers because everything sold out. Some of these folks are still looking for those parts so demand may stay high for a while. You may be better off buying a full rifle as long as they haven't jacked the price up too much.
