How goes it everyone? New guy here, I've lurked on the site here and there when researching gun laws (pops up every once a while on a google search), gun builds, or just questions in general about guns.
About me: I'm 34, a husband and father of 3. I love to fish (freshwater and hence my screen name), hunt (just returned from SE Kansas after getting some quality time in a blind to drop a deer and some turkey, coyotes fell too). Kansas is home to me, where I was born and raised, the USMC brought me to CA and I've been in the state 11 of my almost 16 years of service. I'll be here for the long haul as my wife just started a new job and we'll have to wait for her to retire. I don't mind it though, SoCal is nice and I enjoy the weather.
When I'm not fishing or trying to get a hunt in, in the field, hanging out with the family or just relaxing I'll jump on the motorsickle and go for a ride, head up to the mountains and do some snowboarding (weather permitting) or work on my truck (72 International Scout II).
Currently the only gun I own is a 12 gauge. With the looming "assault/military style weapons" ban I was fortunate enough to pick up a stripped DPMS .308 lower today. I was researching some parts and come this site again, saw the AR-10 build thread and thought this is a place I need to be. I've never built an AR and there is first time for everything.
Enough rambling, glad to be here, looking forward to learning, jumping in where I can and meeting new people.
