Hi everyone. New to the forum. Finally pulled the trigger and purchased my first handgun (Sig SP2022 .40 with night sights) and a lower (JD Machines 5.56/.223 ironically enough with the Calguns logo). I've been going back and forth with building vs prebuilt AR for some time and decided to go with the build route. Still not on a rush to finish the build as there are still a lot of reading to be done as well as decisions as to what specs I want it to be. The purchase wasn't a scare purchase, but more so a kick in the rear to finally doing so. I'm sure ill learn more as I browse the forum now as a registered user.

Welcome to Calguns, here are a couple of guides for you:
Hint: the disconnector spring is wider on one end, the wider end must go down into the trigger assembly or the disconnector can hang up and not function properly.Comment

order my JD Machine lower on 12/19 and was told a 3-4 week turn around but to call after 2 weeks to see where they were with orders. tried calling Friday but no answer. when I went in they said they barely got to pick up the phones due to standing room only and were filling out paperwork on new orders. went in today to check and got to walk out with it. they had 4 almost complete uppers (minus BCG). I asked if they were displays only and said no they're available. the lady asked if I was interested in looking, and I made a comment that I probably shouldn't. she handed me one anyway to look at, at that convinced me enough to buy it. so I walked out with my lower and an upper. no price gouging or anything either so was surprised they still had any on the shelf.
