Well I don't have any guns yet but I plan on having a moss500, glock19, and possibly an ar or ak74 for home defense since I have a son now and want something to protect my family just in case.. sorry bout the long post hahah

Welcome, consider also picking up a .22 rifle like a Ruger 10/22 and inviting your wife to go to the range with you. They are inexpensive to buy and feed and less intimidating for new shooters because of no recoil and reduced noise.
