Just signed up and am looking forward to learning more about gun ownership and the laws that follow. I'm from the LA area looking forwards to perhaps meeting some fellow calgunners and hitting the gun ranges.
I'm currently in Afghanistan working with the Army as a Field Engineer on a UAV program and being around all these guns have got me interested in becoming a gun owner. I've been out here for 3 months and have one more month left in my rotation!!
Few group buy flyers have been floating around our hangars and office and got me thinking about buying one. Only problem is my home state is CA and this unit is out of Ft. Hood, TX and i'm unsure the difference in laws between the two states and if I can even buy one of these guns and have it sent to CA. Talking with other contractors and Army personnel all they have to say is "good luck with all the bulls**t laws in CA!!!" After searing google I found Calguns!
One of the guns i'm interested in is an AK47 101st commemorative edition and the other is a Ruger American Rifle. As to owning either in California and if they are legal, I'll have some research cut out out for me.
