hey guys. I am new here. I live in central california and i did not know a lot about what is legal and what isn't. Mostly because i am only in high school and not quite old enough to buy guns for myself yet. Glad to be hear.

haha thanks for the welcomes guys. I do plan on finishing high school. More than likely going to a jr college for 2 years then move on to a 4 year school. I have no idea what i want to do, but i am good at science and ok at math and most of the time get A's and B's on report cards. What would you guys recomend for me to pursue? I have been thinking about engineering or something with science. I would like to do something that pays well...mostly because college is very expensive and i am the youngest of 4 kids in my family. my sister is in college here in CA. I have an older brother a year ahead of me in high school and a twin that is of course, in the same grade. So anyways i don't want to make my parents completly broke, and for me having to pay off student loans forever.

Say Joe, I'm a twin, also. I was born 36 min ahead of Bryan & we are the youngest. 3 brothers ahead of us. I went in the Navy because I already had 2 bros in college. + I hadn't a clue anyway. Still wonder if I ever found it! Check out the EDD website.
http://www.labormarketinfo.edd.ca.gov/ There is a lot of info, regarding job industry growth. Science/biology is a good field. EG: You can get a Nursing degree for about $24K @ Heald College in about 24 months.

I didn't get the training I wanted out of the Navy. So except for the travel & VA bennies, it was a bust, Career wise. But it was a pretty interesting experience.

Right now I'm doing what you mentioned. I'm originally from Modesto and went to jr college for 3 years (changed major from bio-sci to criminal justice halfway through) and moved on to a state college (SDSU). If you live at home during your college years it will save a lot and you can get by with 500-700 a year for JC and 2,000-2,500 a semester for most state colleges. It is very realistic to work and go to school without having to acquire much, if any, debt at all. And even if you do take loans (most students do) there are a lot of employers out there that are willing to pay off your student loans once you are hired. Just try to keep good grade and apply like crazy for any and all scholarships/grants/free money out there after high school. I got several thousand in free money and I only had like a 3.4-3.5.
