    Just Joined

    Hello everyone,

I've been on the site for about 4 months now and officially joined today. A lot of information in here and i've become somewhat of an addict. My wife is slightly concern regarding my enthusiasm about firearms.

I want to genuinely thank Calguns.net and the people that contribute to this wonderful website. I use to be afraid of firearms and the laws regarding it. I guess i was somewhat brainwashed growing up and knew little about our rights as Americans. My perspective about firearms has changed a lot and i've just started learning.

I've been at the range a few times and finally bought my first gun last week and on the waiting period for pickup. You can't imagine my excitement!

Welcome to Calguns, so... what did you buy? If it wasn't a .22 rifle then you may consider one as a way to introduce your wife to shooting. No recoil, not as much noise and very inexpensive to buy and feed.

Thank you for the welcome everyone. I bought a beautiful revolver, S&W 686-4 6" barrel. It took a lot of time and energy researching and going through the process, but i feel that my quench will feel that much sweeter. I used a lot of the factors in choosing that gun i read on here.

                        686-4

Good choice with the 686! I have owned a 586 with a 2 1/2" barrel and round butt for many years and I love it. It's a little peppy and lot's of muzzle flash with full house .357's but it's a solid, very rugged revolver!
