    New member from SF

Hi all, i'm new to CalGuns. Currently I live and work in the healthcare industry in San Francisco, CA, which as all of you probly know is the belly of the beast when it comes to heavy-handed and unfriendly gun regulation.

Until I bought some guns for myself, which was relatively recently, I'd never actually used or owned any in the state of California. I'd been shooting plenty of times in Washington, Indiana and Wyoming (all very gun-friendly compared w/ CA) but the laws here didn't matter much to me til I had to deal with them. So here I am on CalGuns.net. Looking fwd to getting to know some of yall.

    I own a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm, a Windham AR-15 in 5.56, and a Mossberg M590A1 (yes, I realize this is a perfect set for a 3-gun comp).

          Thanks!

Jackson Arms, in South SF. I love shooting outdoors but unfortunately there isn't anywhere close by to do it...Which is a bummer, because I actually just bought the AR and I really want to take it outdoors. (Suggestions?)

Welcome from the south bay. Sorry I have no recommendations on shooting your AR around SF. I'd be bummed too...

I live in SF too. I enjoy both the Sunnyvale Rod & Gun Club range (by Stevens Creek Reservoir in Cupertino) and the Los Altos Rod & Gun Club range in Los Gatos (off of Highway 35 south of Highway 9). If you would ever like to carpool down to either one on a weekend, let me know. They are both a long ways from SF, but I much prefer either of them over Jackson Arms.
