CalGuns First Timer..

I'll start off by saying I bought my first rifle about 4 months ago. Its a H&R Handi Rifle .45-70 with a Pentax Gameseeker 9X50MM Scope. I plan on taking my first bear with it sometime this winter.

Now onto my main reason for joining!

The infamous (and widley disliked) Serbu Super Shorty. I have wanted one of these for I dont know how long. Last I heard they were illegal in our state. A member (I'm assuming) of this forum commented on a video on youtube saying they are in fact legal to own.

So what's the story behind these? What do I have to do in order to obtain one?

This is what I got from one of the posts from that thread. How exactly do I go about obtaining a AOW Form 4. Are these the forms you sign out when you buy a pistol?

Welcome aboard. I believe its a little more complicated than that. I could be wrong, but I think you have to set up a trust of some sort. This allows you to purchase the aow in the first place. EBR Works, a vendor here on the forums knows the legalities involved for you to own one. They would be a good source of info. Good luck on your search.

In a dream: I think a shortened shotgun is a great weapon for self defense. Say...someone is chasing you in the car, you wouldn't really have to aim just let em have a few rounds of 00 buck. End of problem.

Ca. is not a dream. Aren't they illegal? Length and pistol grip? These days I wouldn't touch one. But, in my dreams it's OK.
