Fire Season Getting me down!

Hey guys! First off, every member here is Awesome! California non-criminals gotta keep our guns, or else they'll be controlled by bad guys (not cool one's like johnny cash). More on that later....

I live in the Temecula area, and don't belong to any private shooting ranges. I mostly shoot in the Idlewild National Forest outside Hemet. I have heard others reffer to it as Bee Canyon maybe?? During fire season, we can't shoot there. Where is somewhere to shoot during California's special time that wont cost a fist-full or have rules against surplus 7.62 ammo?

Welcome, Since Bee Canyon is close you are probably going to have to find some BLM land like near Barstow.

Welcome AK47American. I face the same predicament down here in San Diego on BLM land.Shot 2 weeks ago and no problems,then,fires were started by supposedly other shooters and CDF AND BLM rangers were told to advise shooters that there would be a NO shooting Proclamation for the summer. this is to be lifted come winter! Look for a shooting range nearby and suck up the fees. Sorry, there is no quick fix for us otherwise. I feel your pain!

Welcome. We have high fire danger where I live. I have to drive 70 miles (round trip) to get to a range. With today's gas prices, ugh.
