So, I'm moving from NC to Northern CA in a few months and trying to get all my toys to be CA compliant, so I have been studying up here. Wow, there is a lot to understand about CA law!

Also planning to purchase a few things on my wish list before I make the move.

Welcome to Calguns. Good plan on buying some off list guns. Remember to consider older handguns that are not on the current CA safe handgun list. While they can be sold in a face to face, private party transaction they cannot be shipped from one FFL to another FFL unless the buyer is an LEO.
