Hey everyone. My name is Derek and I am in the Air Force. I just got word that after I retrain into Air Traffic Controller I will be stationed at Beale AFB up near Yuba City. I have to admit that when I first found out I wasnt too thrilled at the idea. I am stationed in Oklahoma now and I am originally form here. We are full of "right wing gun nuts" and I absolutely love it. I am really into hunting, and waterfowling is my passion. I always though of california as the stereo-typical "kommiefornia" as us corn belt people call it. After doing a bit of research I was pleasantly surprised to learn that northern California isnt too much different to what I have been accustomed to. I still cant believe how hard it is going to be to get my Conceal Carry Permit when I get there. It was a relatively easy process here in Oklahoma. Anyways I look forward to moving that way this December!

Welcome to the Club. Yuba County shouldn't be as bad, I think. Have to look at the map and see how anal the current Sheriff is. Thanks for your service, Airman. My Dad was a loadmaster and Beale was one of his favorite places to fly into because of all the cool stuff like the SR-71 they had at the time.
